Rowda is a one-woman band, a Blues and Gospel singer
and a songwriter with colors of roots music,
who has dedicated a great part of her life to her two passions:
education and music.
A lover of African-American culture and its roots, and fruit of her thirst for knowledge,
Rowda lived for three years in different parts of The United States,
including a long period of time in New Orleans.
She also spent a year in Malawi, in southern Africa,
where she soaked up the raw material of the music.
These experiences and the richness of these places are present in her performances today.
Undoubtedly, all these life experiencesand the whole technical knowledge gathered over all these years
have made Rowda into both a multidisciplinary artist with a very personal signature and also
one of the most authoritative voices with respect to spreading and announcing the trajectory
and the history of black music from where it was born up to where it turned into
the foundation for modern popular music.
